Electrical loggers help reduce energy costs

Fluke 1732 and 1734 three-phase energy loggers

Energy is a significant contributor to costs in the industrial sector but, as a variable cost, it can be monitored and managed to find opportunities for energy savings.

COMTEST’s Fluke 1732/1734 three-phase energy loggers are designed to identify sources of electrical energy waste. The tools are used to capture key measurements such as voltage, current, power, power factor, as well as variables such as temperature. The loggers are designed for easy set-up and use and to enable managers to understand energy usage and correlate it to specific activities.

The 1732/1734 energy loggers are Fluke Connect compatible, allowing data to be viewed remotely by means of the Fluke Connect mobile application (app), potentially improving safety and efficiency by reducing the number of times a technician is required to open a panel while wearing full protective equipment.

The loggers also include the company’s new Energy Analyze Plus app software, which is said to deliver more advanced analysis capabilities to better correlate data and improve decision-making processes.

Rated 600 V CAT IV/1000 V CAT III, the tools are regarded as safe for use at the service entrance as well as downstream.
