One of Gauteng’s gate-way interchanges is set for a major development expansion over the coming months. Superbly located at the intersection of the N3 highway and Rand Airport Road, right on the Elandsfontein interchange, the highly visible development site is on the preferred side of the busy Gillooly’s interchange for freight coming into the province from Durban and other port cities.

Gosforth Park is an area that has seen various big box users’ take-up residence in the last few years. It offers sweeping highway frontage with excellent visibility and has superb in-out access right on a major highway intersection. Several property funds and developers will undertake new developments in the vicinity over the next 18 months.

Abland and Redefine have launched the S&J development across the former Simmer and Jack gold mine, the development will offer world-class infrastructure, quality space and excellent access onto the N3. The industrial park will have superior access, high visibility and high tech facilities. Stretched over 210Ha the development will offer warehousing, distribution, logistics and manufacturing opportunities from 1000sqm – 100 000 sqm. The industrial venture will house one of the largest industrial parks in Gauteng and will break ground early 2017.

As well as its excellent access from the N3 highway, it also is easily accessible from the N12, N17 and even the M2 highways. It has a dominant position at the gateway to Gosforth Park and surrounding business areas. The development is also near to the City Deep inland port.

Currently also under construction is Fortress’s industrial development at Union park. The site can accommodate users from 10 000sqm and big box users up to 25 000sqm. The park will offer logistics and warehousing user’s excellent access via the gate-way interchange to Gauteng.

Once completed the interchange will be hard to beat as the base for logistics and warehousing in Gauteng.
