Aim-listed Edenville Energy has proposed changing its name to Shuka Resources.
The directors said on June 2 that they believed the change of name better reflected the company's key focus being Africa, as well as its values of environmental sustainability, community engagement and responsible mining practices.
The name change is also in line with Edenville’s strategic objectives and enhanced focus on investing in and developing mining assets in Africa, aligning with its long-term strategy.
“The proposed rebranding as Shuka Resources signifies our commitment to the company's existing strategy, emphasising the investment and development of mining assets in Africa. This transition marks an exciting period of growth and progress for us in the months to come,” CEO Noel Lyons said.
The name change is subject to the approval of shareholders at an upcoming general meeting of the company.
