President Cyril Ramaphosa officially kick-started construction of the Tshwane Automotive Special Economic Zone (SEZ) – a R3.5-billion development alongside the Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) plant, in Silverton. The SEZ will act as an automotive components supplier industrial park. Pictured turning the first sod is Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Ebrahim Patel, while dignitaries, including Ramaphosa, Gauteng Premier David Makhura and FMCSA MD Neale Hill, look on.
