This range of pneumatic drills – with high power-to-weight ratios – is available in pistol grip, inline and angle configurations, over a range of speeds, power and chuck sizes, explains engineering solutions provider BMG.

The jaws on the chuck can be removed quickly for cleaning or when switching between different rivet sizes.

BMG’s impact wrenches cover a range of torques, for different applications – from small assembly tasks requiring a 1/4" drive, to the toughest bolting tasks requiring a 3.1/2" drive and 108 000 Nm.

In addition, the portfolio of air tools and accessories also comprises compressors, descalers, engravers, grinders and riveting tools.

Drill bits are available in many sizes and shapes and can create different kinds of holes in many different materials. A comprehensive drill bit size chart is available from BMG, which lists metric and imperial sized drill bits, alongside the required screw tap.

Drill sleeves are used to adapt smaller morse taper shank tools, as well as larger machine spindles. The concentricity and taper angles are precisely controlled, which allows perfect locking and concentric movement to the tool.

In addition, BMG also supplies a range of quality end mills for industrial milling applications, such as profile, tracer and face milling, as well as plunging. While a drill bit can only cut in the axial direction, a milling bit can generally cut in all directions, though some cannot cut axially.

The company highlights that, precision reamers are designed to enlarge the size of a previously formed hole by a small amount, but with a high degree of accuracy, to leave smooth sides. Nonprecision reamers are used for more basic enlargement of holes or for removing burrs.

These components include male torx, Allen keys, bi-hex and socket types, available in long series, impact and also metric and imperial sizing.

In addition, BMG sockets are used to tighten and loosen nuts and bolts quickly and easily, while ensuring a long product life. When coupled to a quick-release ratchet, it allows for quick changing of sockets.
