Disaster recovery solutions tailored to SME's

ContinuitySA has introduced Recovery as a Service (RaaS) aimed at SMEs

To date, structured disaster recovery solutions have been available only for larger South African companies, however, new services specifically tailored to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are now available.

Disasters may take various forms – whether environmental, such as fires and floods, or load-shedding, strikes, or incidents that prevent access to a premises, explains disaster recovery and business continuity services company, ContinuitySA.

The company provides services for corporate clients across South Africa and many other African countries and has recently introduced Recovery as a Service (RaaS) aimed at SMEs and positioned as an affordable solution for Work Area Recovery.

Clients subscribe to RaaS with a monthly debit order, which can be annualised and paid up front, which gives access to a ContinuitySA facility that includes desks and chairs in an office or Work Area, as a basic start point. Packages of between five seats and 50 seats are available, with equipment and services including printing, high-speed Internet access, a 24/7 service desk and meeting rooms.

The premises are housed in a secure environment, with 24-hour security and monitoring, diesel generators and uninterrupted power supply units to provide backup power for all services. Water supply is also assured, with backup supply systems in case of municipal service failures.

New clients are provided with a Business Continuity Planning Awareness seminar, a site tour and a client induction programme.

ContinuitySA currently offers RaaS from facilities situated in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape.
