Decorative Concrete Made Easier With Chryso Acquisitions

Two significant acquisitions at the end of 2016 have seen the CHRYSO Group expand its aesthetic concrete product range.

The leading concrete additives group acquired Moderne Methode and Beton Academy, and according to CEO of the CHRYSO Southern Africa Group, Norman Seymore this will allow it to expand its offering to both the retail and industrial sectors.

Moderne Methode has a thirteen year legacy as a leader in the decorative concrete product market in France and has a considerable global reach. The company manufactures and distributes a comprehensive range of products, innovative tools and systems that assist in the production of decorative concrete.

These products have an established reputation for quality stamped, polished and micro-topping concrete whereby extremely thin concrete coatings are used to create a stabilised sand, granite, marble or metallic effect. Resin as well as stampable overlays can also be achieved.

The Beton Academy is used to instruct and train decorative concrete applicators in the use of these products and systems.

“Moderne Methode will enhance CHRYSO’s existing product range as well as add certain technologies to a.b.e.’s DIY and consumer market channels,” Seymore says.

“The Beton Academy will address industry specific needs with regard to producing decorative concrete and give concrete applicators the confidence to use our products,” he concludes.
