Conductive level switches offer reliable monitoring

Kobold NEK conductive level switch from Instrotech

The use of conductive level switches for monitoring chemical or freshwater tanks, mixing vessels or for run-dry protection in pumps, helps to ensure efficient and cost-effective measurement and monitoring of industrial processes.

Instrotech offers a compact, space-saving switch that has a robust design and can be integrated into existing systems. The Kobold NEK conductive level switch is described as a complete, functional unit that reliably monitors the limit level of conductive media, even under heavy process conditions.

The device is designed as a complete functional unit that can be screwed into a tank. The compact housing with process connection has a hexagon and male thread for installation. Devices made of polyphenylene sulfide are able to tolerate pressures of up to 20 bar and those made of polypropylene, tolerate up to 6 bar. Two electrodes made of stainless steel extend into the process and, as soon as both come into contact with a conductive liquid, the electronics detects it and a corresponding switch signal is sent as an output.

NEK’s features include:

Instrotech distributes and manufactures a range of process control instrumentation and specialized systems to the South African and international markets.
