CLIMATE ADAPTATION

The release of the controversial blockbuster Noah has coincided with the release of a number of new working group reports under the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. They warn that greenhouse-gas emissions are accelerating and that, without more mitigation, the global mean surface temperature might rise by 3.7 ºC to 4.8 ºC over the century. Adaptation is, thus, likely to become a more pressing priority.
