Project Description
The CEIP is intended to establish Australia’s first commercial-scale green hydrogen energy ecosystem, including a 10 MW electrolyser and plant capable of producing up to 4.6 t/d of hydrogen, as well as the construction of up to three hydrogen refuelling stations.

The hydrogen generated could be used to power fuel cell electric vehicles and supply industrial applications.

The Australian government is providing a A$28.7-million grant for the project as part of the Australian Renewable Energy Agency Renewable Hydrogen Deployment Funding Round. A number of development conditions must be met and the project needs to achieve financial close before funding is released.

ATCO plans to build and start operation of the CEIP by March 2022.
