International Monetary Fund (IMF) MD Christine Lagarde said last week that the global expansion outlook was worse than the lender anticipated less than two months ago, with advanced and Asian economies growing more slowly than expected. Speaking during an IMF conference in Jakarta, Indonesia, Lagarde said emerging economies should be vigilant so that they could handle potential spillovers from China’s slowdown.
