Carlos Mateos Duran, EMEA Financial Director juwi
Carlos Mateos Duran has been appointed EMEA financial director of juwi. He joined juwi South Africa in 2019 as the Chief Financial Officer for ZA. He later assumed responsibility for the EMEA Cost Controlling function. Given current market and growth expectations within the EMEA Region, there was a need to appoint an EMEA Finance Director, and it was a natural progression for Duran to occupy the position, effective 1 December 2020.
Duran is a finance professional with a solid accounting and audit background, reporting and financial experience in an international environment, as well as having extensive experience in project finance, cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting. His renewable energy experience was gained at Abengoa Solar in Spain and in South Africa, where he was instrumental in setting up the office and finance function in his role of Chief Financial Officer, while managing a portfolio of Concentrated Solar Power projects in excess of 1 Billion USD. He holds a Business Administration Degree specialized in Accounting and Auditing.

As the EMEA FD, Duran will form part of the EMEA Management team and the International Management team.
