Pharmaceuticals manufacturer Sanofi South Africa has indicated that it remains committed to maintaining its production capacities in the country. Pictured above is Thembi Lepele working in the raw materials section of Sanofi’s quality control laboratory at its Tshwane factory. The group recently invested €3-million to expand the factory’s capacity to produce tuberculosis (TB) and HIV/Aids medicines. The facility is currently able to produce 350-million tablets and capsules, or ten-million TB packs a year, servicing around one-million patients.
