Location
In the Mississippi Canyon area, in about 2 000 m of water, about 260 km south-east of New Orleans, in the US.

Project Owner/s
Chevron Corporation subsidiary Chevron USA Inc (60%) is the operator of the Ballymore project. Co-owner TotalEnergies E&P USA Inc has a 40% interest.

Project Description
Ballymore will be Chevron’s first development in the Norphlet trend of the US Gulf.

The project has potential recoverable oil-equivalent resources of more than 150-million barrels.

The project will have a design capacity of about 75 000 bbl/d of crude oil and will be developed as a subsea tieback of more than 4 km to the existing Chevron-operated Blind Faith platform.

Using existing infrastructure will ensure the lowest development costs and lower emission intensity.
