ENERGY METER Carlo Gavazzi energy meters, current transformers and energy-efficiency monitoring solutions will be exhibited at stand J5

Industrial product supplier Magnet’s stand at the Power & Electricity World Africa 2017 conference and exhibition, taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre on March 28 and 29, will highlight the company’s Carlo Gavazzi automation products portfolio.

Stand number J5, will exhibit key Carlo Gavazzi energy management solutions, including energy meters, current transformers and energy efficiency monitoring solutions. However, Magnet notes that the VMU range of integrated Web server solutions, will be the highlight of the exhibit.

According to the website, the VMUC-EM is a modular system that records, monitors and transmits analog and digital signals from an industrial, commercial or residential installation with a specific focus on energy efficiency. The system includes a Web server with an intuitive user interface to monitor data, enabling the viewing and trending of real and historical data. The VMUC-EM allows up to 32 energy meters and transducers to be connected and can transmit data using various protocols or using wired or wireless connections.

For extremely large systems, Carlo Gavazzi offers the VMU-Y which enables clients to monitor up to ten different VMUC-EM modules, therefore enabling monitoring of up to 320 meters or transducers.

Magnet’s Johannesburg regional manager Stephen Rogerson says the company “believes this event will be the perfect forum to display and demonstrate Magnet’s solutions for industrial automation, energy and renewable energy, and building automation to key players in the power and electricity sector”. He comments that, with its extensive range of quality branded Carlo Gavazzi automation products and a highly skilled team of technical experts, the Magnet Group plays a major role in providing dependable automation systems throughout Africa.

Other product ranges available from Carlo Gavazzi include those required for diverse industries – agriculture, building and home automation, conventional and renewable energy, food and beverage plants, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, packaging and plastics machines, as well as lifts and escalators.

Rogerson adds that the Magnet Group, which specialises in the supply, implementation and support of electrical equipment, industrial instrumentation and automation, provides a technical and support service throughout Africa to ensure optimum performance of all components.
