Poultry producer Astral Foods CEO Chris Schutte will be taking leave of office to recuperate from a cardiovascular surgery later this month.
The date of his return to the office will be announced at a later stage.
Astral on Wednesday assured shareholders that the company’s executive management team was in place to deal with all relevant operational matters in Schutte’s absence.
CFO Dean Ferreira will be the central contact person during this period.
