Avinash Desmond Maharaj has been appointed CFO and executive director of ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA), effective October 1.
He has a Master’s degree in Finance and is a qualified chartered accountant.
Maharaj will take over the position from Gerhard van Zyl, who has been acting CFO since former CFO Dean Subramanian stepped down in July.
