Diversified miner Anglo American Platinum (Amplats) has appointed Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) as its external auditor from 2020.
The decision follows after the miner announced in its 2018 Integrated Report that Deloitte & Touche’s services as the external auditors of Amplats would terminate by rotation in 2020.
PwC’s appointment will take effect from and including the year ending December 31, 2020.
Deloitte will perform the audit function in respect of Amplats’ financial statements for the financial year ending December 31, 2019, after which the company will step down and hand over to PwC.
