JSE-listed speciality chemicals group AECI on Tuesday announced that it had appointed current JSE-listed manufacturer Distribution and Warehousing Network chairperson Recht Louis Hiemstra nonexecutive director of the company, effective May 1.
Hiemstra was previously employed by diversified industrial services and retail group Imperial, having held several positions within the company, including executive director of Imperial Holdings and CEO of Imperial Bank.
He also served as a director of black-owned media corporation Kagiso Media for eight years.
