In line with its aim to support all industries with a range of stock and supply energy, engineered products manufacturer Energy Valves, a division of engineering company Energy Engineered Products, will introduce a stock holding of duplex stainless steel Alloy 2205 and Alloy 20 valves to complement its comprehensive stock of stainless steel valves.

Energy Valves supplies quality stainless steel and high performance alloys, as well as special alloy valves suited for challenging corrosive and high temperature environments.

“We believe this is a first in South Africa, and is supported by our consistent ability to secure orders for special alloy valves over the past few years,” says Energy Valves sales and operations director Graham Whitty.

Energy Valves and its Energy Metals division share a combined 21 years of business experience in supplying stainless steel and high-performance corrosion-resistant alloys, and aims to mirror this expertise in its extensive industrial valve offering, he adds.

“Our range of valves is used in highly corrosive and dangerous environments where safety and performance are critical. There can be no compromise when it comes to the quality of the manufacturing or materials; hence, we only work with leading international manufacturers. “This, combined with our collective expertise in understanding the characteristics of special alloys and corrosion, enable us to offer assurance of quality on our products,” Whitty highlights.

Energy Valves offers a range of industrial valves from stock, with its website listing ball valves, check valves, butterfly valves, gate valves and needle valves as part of its product range. The ball valves are available with flanged ends, threaded ends and weld-on ends, as well as with fire-safe certification and for high-pressure applications. The company also stocks wafer-type cast iron body, stainless steel 316-disc butterfly valves and aims to provide a competitive, high-quality product in a market, which it states is often characterised by poor quality products. Energy Valves further notes that it can supply full stainless steel butterfly valves, as well as double and triple eccentric butterfly valves. Its range of check valves comprise stainless steel valves in wafer patterns and with threaded ends. Further, Energy Valves offers stainless steel Class 150 gate valves as well as threaded end gate valves. “We regularly supply a range of carbon steel and stainless steel wedge gate valves and are well positioned to supply gate valves in exotic alloys such as duplex stainless steel, Alloy 20, 904L, hastelloy and titanium,” the company notes. The company also offers 6 000 pounds per square inch threaded end needle valves as well as stainless steel threaded y-strainers and flanged strainers in exotic alloys. Energy Valves has an extended range of valves ex-mill for projects packages. Ex-mill is defined by eComlogistics.com as a seller being obligated to load the specified quantity of goods at the specified price on trucks, rail cars or any other specified means of transport at its mill. The buyer must accept the goods in this manner and make all transportation arrangements.

Based in Johannesburg, Energy Engineered Products also offers valves, pipe, pipe fittings, flanges, round bar, heat exchanger tube, angle, flat bar, stud bolts and fasteners and services, through business units Energy Projects, Energy Exports and, recently, Energy Bolts.

With an extensive network of suppliers based in the East, Europe and the US the company offers high-quality products to meet challenging applications in industries such as water treatment, power generation, petrochemicals and mineral processing.

“With our range of products, our commitment to quality, and our ability to supply hard-to-find items, we have an all-round value offering that sets us apart,” states Whitty.

He adds that Energy Engineered Products is com-mitted to the broad-based black economic-empowerment (BBBEE) codes of good prac-tice and is a Level 5 BBBEE contributor.

The company is also ISO 9001:2008 certified, ensuring quality in both its product and service offerings. “We have invested heavily to ensure that we are leaders in this respect,” Whitty emphasises.

He adds that Energy Engineered Products has built a valuable international supply chain, based on long-term relationships and regular assessment of its suppliers’ quality standards and performance.

The company’s quality management strategy includes the regular evaluation of its international suppliers, in-house testing of its equipment to ensure that material is of the correct grade and specification, extensive investment in information technology as a key-enabling tool in its overall efficiency and ability to measure and analyse its business, and a constant investment in skills development to ensure that it can offer quality service and understanding of the technical aspects of all its products.

“Internally, we are constantly striving to improve our already high standards. “We believe that we cannot build a sustainable business without offering our customers confidence in our product and service,” Whitty concludes.
