London-listed URU Metals has appointed environmental consultancy Tshifcor Investment and Resources to conduct an environmental-impact assessment and a public participation process on South African properties prospective for nickel mineralisation.

The company is working towards securing a prospecting right on ten portions of the Potgietersrust Town and Townlands 44 KS area, totalling 246 ha, in Limpopo.

This area is adjacent to the Zebediela nickel project, which is owned by TSX-V-listed Zeb Nickel Corporation.

URU plans to place advertisements in the local community newspaper, notifying interested and affected parties of the prospecting right application, while site visits will soon be conducted by Tshifcor.
