Stanford Graduate School of Business and diamond company De Beers Group have invited entrepreneurs with a mindset to grow their businesses to apply for the 2021/22 Southern Africa Seed Transformation Programme (STP).

The programme is aimed at supporting business leaders in Southern Africa to expand and transform their companies, communities and economies.

It targets CEOs or founders of for-profit companies or for-profit social enterprises who want to grow and scale their companies, as well as companies with a yearly revenue of between $300 000 and $15-million, that are based in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa.

The STP is an online learning experience that moves beyond acquiring business skills and provides practical hands-on tools to support business growth and scale.

It is designed to not only capacitate the business owner, but also up to five members of their senior management team to ensure implementation and continuity.

Stanford's faculty and a team of experts work with leaders and their team throughout their 12-month transformational journey.

Surveys on the programme indicate that 64% of past participants have increased their revenue; 58% have expanded into new geographies; and cumulatively all past cohorts have raised over $224-million in capital, following their training.

The closing date for applications is April 15.
