SPC is the black empowerment entity, joint venture of Global Empowerment fund together with Process Pipe with branches in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, Specialised Piping Company (SPC) has established a national footprint as a whole-saler and retailer of carbon and mild steel pipe fittings and flanges. 

SPC prioritises distribution and customer service across Southern Africa. Its product range includes carbon steel seamless pipe to specification A106 Gr B and A53.  

The company stocks mainly refinery-approved and imported material and is an accredited Arcelor Mittal stockist and distributor.  

In addition, SPC stocks welded pipe manu-
factured to South African National Standards (SANS) 62, SANS 719 and BS 1387 specifi-
cations and stock a full range of high-quality galvanised water pipe manufactured to BS 1387 specifications.

Fittings supplied are manufactured according to Japanese Industrial standards and butt-weld fittings are manufactured to A 234 WPB specifications. The buttweld fittings include a range of refinery-approved and imported fittings.  

The flange range includes plate flanges manufactured to SANS 1123 specifications, as well as galvanised flanges and backing rings for the plastic pipe industry. SPC stocks plate flanges up to 1 200 mm in diameter and is able to manufacture flanges with a diameter of up to 2 400 mm.  

The company stocks a complete range of refinery and imported forged flanges manufactured to BS 16.5 specification. Material grades include BS 4504, EB 1092 and BS 10.  Other fittings include couplings for grooved pipe, malleable iron fittings and steam fittings manufactured to BS 17.40 specifications. SPC also supplies the full range of refinery approved 3 000 lb fittings.  

Established in 2018, SPC has made sub-stantial investments in infrastructure and stock, in order to service a range of sectors, including the petrochemicals, drilling, fabrication, air-conditioning, gas, fire protection, construction, water, mining, agriculture, plumbing and general engineering industries.
