Energy management multinational Schneider Electric’s digital energy management system EcoStruxure Power can help organisations to improve their efficiency and uptime.

The system assists clients in ensuring that power is available, operational costs are optimised and maintenance is performed on a predictive, preventive basis. Building owners and managers can track energy use and the potential for energy savings.

It is part of the company’s EcoStruxure architecture – an Internet of Things-enabled, plug-and-play, open and interoperable architecture and platform in homes, buildings, data centres, infrastructure and industries.

“In the digital economy, the way electricity is generated, distributed and used is rapidly changing. EcoStruxure Power digitalises and simplifies the electrical distribution system and aids decision-making,” says Schneider Electric.

Engineering News attended an EcoStruxure Power talk hosted by the company last month. “Our mantra is powering and digitalising the economy,” said Schneider Electric Anglophone cluster digital transformation leader Quintin McCutcheon during the event.

EcoStruxure Power can deliver enhanced value to professionals in the power industry, including contractors, consulting engineers, panel builders, system integrators and their end-clients.

The system can provide reductions of up to 15% in maintenance costs, up to 10% in energy spend and an up to 15% reduction in project costs.

It drives active energy management with real-time use optimisation. Efficiency, occupant comfort and productivity can be improved without increasing in-house staffing using cloud-based services that support the entire building and power distribution life cycle.

Schneider Electric provides partners and clients with full documentation, secure deployment instructions, security life-cycle services, and responsive assistance and support when incidents and vulnerabilities are reported.

“EcoStruxure Power helps clients to take hold of an entirely new power paradigm. It delivers safer, more reliable, more efficient power and significant financial benefits with tailored future-ready power solutions,” said Schneider Electric business development manager Rod Lesar at the talk.
