Specialist automation and sensor company SICK Automation Southern Africa has moved to new custom-designed premises in Lanseria Corporate Estate, which is five times larger than its previous offices.

The new facility is an important prerequisite in the company’s next growth phase as it continues to expand its footprint in the local and Southern African markets, and follows on from the success that SICK has achieved in South Africa, says SICK Automation Southern Africa MD Luxy Moodley.

The new premises are testimony to the company’s strong, long-term commitment to its customers and partners in Africa.

The move to the new premises is a result of organic expansion. The new premises provide capacity for further enhancement of support levels, response times and services for customers and partners.

“The in-house training facilities will enable SICK to offer high-quality, in-depth training of the company’s extensive product range.

“The new premises will help facilitate our commitment to ’Sensor Intelligence’, which draws on all of SICK’s system expertise, supplemented by our experience in a variety of sectors,” she adds.

“We combine our detailed application knowledge with reliable software architecture to integrate our sensors into client systems because industrial intelligence creates value for our customers,” Moodley concludes.

SICK produces sensors and sensor solutions for industrial applications and offers high-quality sensor technology and solutions, as well as applications, system integration and service expertise for the factory automation, logistics automation and process automation industries.
