JSE-listed information technology services company Adapt IT CEO Sibusiso Shabalala has resigned as a director of the company and its subsidiaries with effect from August 6.

Adapt IT announced on August 10 that the board had accepted his resignation.

In May, Adapt IT had informed shareholders that Shabalala had been granted a three-month leave of absence to attend to personal matters and he has since taken the decision to terminate his employment with Adapt IT.

Adapt IT interim CEO Tiffany Dunsdon will continue in her role. Adapt IT will make an announcement in due course on a permanent successor to Shabalala as CEO.
