SAHHA Conference announces keynote speaker – Aurizon’s John Woods

The South African Heavy Haul Association (SAHHA) Conference will feature a keynote presentation by rail transport company Aurizon planning and scheduling head John Woods.

Woods, who is based in Australia, will share Aurizon’s case study, titled ‘Integrated Rail Planning & Scheduling Transformation, enabling agility of the Heavy Haul logistics value chain’.

In addition, a presentation by South African Association of Freight Forwarders CEO Dr Juanita Maree will provide insights on the topic of achieving agility of the heavy haul logistics supply chain to support the export of minerals.

Other speakers at the event include Deutschebahn Engineering & Consulting's mobility consulting director Jörg Marienhagen; the Department of Science and Innovation's acting deputy director-general of technology innovation Dr Rebecca Maserumule; and Anglo American marketing development principal Fahmida Smith.

The SAHHA Conference will be held at Emperors Palace, in Gauteng, from August 2 to 4.

Early bird registration for the conference ends on July 15.
