A handheld spotlight powered by rechargeable batteries is now available in retail stores across South Africa.

The unit is encased in a plastic material with rubber over-mould and features a shatterproof lens, an on/off trigger and a lanyard loop.

The spotlight has two light-emitting diode (LED) lights, 550 lumens, low and high modes, adjustable beam, 425 m reach and is designed to last up to 20 years.

It comes with six rechargeable AA batteries that can be loaded once, sealed off and recharged with a separate charge panel that can be plugged into a wall socket. A car charger is also supplied.

The unit can also be run on alkaline or lithium batteries. It is fitted with a battery detection system which recognises the type of battery being used. This aims to prevent damage from occurring if an attempt to recharge an alkaline or lithium battery is made.

Features include:

  • LED technology
  • Adjustable beam
  • Lights up an area uniformly
  • 550 lumens with high and low modes
  • Hands-free in a variety of workspaces with its flat bottom
  • Two optimised LED modes for better runtime and beam distance

  • Large on/off button
  • Shatterproof front lens
  • Contoured handle to improve grip
  • Lanyard loop
  • Impact resistant up to 7 m

The pack includes six rechargeable batteries, a wall-socket charger and a car charger.
