JSE-listed Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat) expects to report basic earnings per share (EPS) of between R18 and R18.60 for the six months ended June 30.

That represents a 433% to 450% year-on-year improvement on the basic EPS of R3.38 reported in the prior year’s interim period.

The higher earnings come on the back of a 24% year-on-year increase in platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold, or 4E, platinum group metals output and favourable market conditions.

The company will release its interim results on or about August 3.
