The new 9R-Series tractor from John Deere offers more power, better technology and improved comfort and is billed as the company’s largest, strongest, most technologically advanced tractor on the market in Africa and the Middle East.

Equipped with all the original 9R specifications, the upgraded 9R-Series line-up is said to be the only tractor series on the market offering a wheeled (9R), two-track (9RT) and four-track (9RX) configuration to ensure optimum performance, effectiveness and efficiency on all types of soil. It helps farmers to cover more ground in less time with greater accuracy and quality and reduce operating costs, all while enjoying a larger, more comfortable cab.

The new tractors are also equipped with the John Deere PowerTech 13.6L (830-cu in) engine, designed for enhanced performance and reliability, offering 390 hp to 590 hp, achieved through the use of a high-pressure common-rail system and a hydraulic fan drive. The 13.6L engine offers 13.5% more horsepower than the 13.5L engine, 3% more fluid efficiency, 50% less engine noise, a 27% improvement in repairability and a 13% reduction in maintenance costs.

The new 9R-Series is designed to deliver optimum operator comfort and convenience, including extended headroom, a wider entry path, a larger integrated refrigerator, new seat options, touchscreen radio and footrests, with a choice of Select, Premium or Ultimate cab packages. New visibility packages that provide additional lighting, sunshade and camera options are also included.

Integrated technology includes JDLink connectivity which provides John Deere Connected Support and alerts to help ensure that tractors operate without interruption. The StarFire 6000 Integrated Receiver is designed to reduce setup time by eliminating terrain compensation module calibrations, while reduced pull-in and remote software download times enhance precision and control. All receivers are fully serviceable and upgradable to newer generations and the Gen4 4600 CommandCenter Automation Activation 4.0 is recommended. The new 9R-Series is also equipped with a range of precision Ag applications.
