JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – TSX-listed Orezone Gold Corporation was on schedule to complete the feasibility study of its Bomboré gold project, in Burkina Faso, during the first quarter of next year, after which it would apply for a mining permit to develop the project during the second quarter, COO Tim Miller said on Monday.

Work on the mine plan would also start immediately and was expected to be completed early next year.

Orezone added that work on the project’s environmental- and social-impact assessment and relocation plan would continue into the second quarter of 2015 in order for the company to apply for a mining permit, with a resource update also expected during the first quarter of next year.

The company pointed out that metallurgical test results, to date, continued to indicate that the overall gold recovery from the project’s combined heap leach and carbon-in-leach circuits would be between 80% and 90% on oxide materials.
