Online hydraulics digital product catalogue now available
Power management company Eaton announced in March that the company’s PowerSource website, www.eatonpowersource.com, an end-to-end searchable product database that enables users to search, specify and sell hydraulics products, is now available to all users free of charge.
Updated in real time, the platform reflects Eaton’s complete hydraulics product offering and provides a variety of information, including product details, part numbers, two-dimensional drawings, three-dimensional renderings and directions on how to buy products.
Eaton marketing manager Eric Stager says the website developed from an iPad application (app) to a website for Eaton employees and channel partners. “The public launch of the site is, therefore, a natural expansion of this real-time, interactive hydraulic platform,” he says.
Stager adds that the PowerSource website demonstrates Eaton’s dedication to enabling end-users, original-equipment manufacturers and distributors across all channels to streamline the buying cycle into one seamless experience.
More than 20 000 Eaton employees and distributors currently use PowerSource, which is available in nine languages, including English, Portuguese, French, Mandarin and Cantonese, across 96 countries. It is a robust digital catalogue designed for the hydraulics industry and provides information on more than 200 000 hydraulics products.
Since its initial launch as an iPad app in 2012, the platform has received the Forrester Groundswell, CIO 100, Mobilizer, Information Week 500 and Manufacturing Leadership 100 awards.
