NextCellular, a division of Next360, an authorised financial services provider (FSP 48886), has announced an innovative internet/data solution that simplifies high-speed connectivity and affordability for businesses and individuals looking to adapt to the new normal of remote working and learning.

With connectivity now the lifeblood of businesses, the world has become so intertwined that those who don’t connect with others will become irrelevant and forgotten.

“We are bringing to the market a solution for businesses that are experiencing work execution and delivery limitations during the current COVID 19 crisis, since it is now glaringly clear that connectivity is the key to economic survival,” says Jignesh Dave, NextCellular Founder & CEO.

He added that the Global Village has always been at the heart of their business and the company remains as committed as ever to serving the community by providing relevant products and solutions to create value especially in this time of a global crisis. The cellular network has always been a convenient one-stop solution for global travellers who need a mobile network service that can operate locally as well as internationally.

NextCellular specializes in the provision of voice and data services in the US, Europe, UK, Mexico, and South Africa with distribution in India, the UK, and South Africa.

“As a network in South Africa, we have access to 30 thousand mobile connectivity towers (BTS) making us a significant player in the industry. We strive to work in a customer-oriented manner and to be innovative, ambitious, and competitive across the world. Our strategy from inception has always been to take a consumer-centric approach vis-a-vis falling into that traditional way of always defining products/services from a producer perspective,” Dave continued.

Since the beginning of lockdown in South Africa and with the challenges brought by the highly contagious SARS-CoV-2 virus (known widely as Corona Virus), time has now demanded that individuals and businesses alike focus on both health and financial safety. Needless to say, the greater implications of these movement confinements on productivity and commercially have already been devastating with more and more individuals and workforces having to either rely on working remotely otherwise shut down completely.

According to mybroadband.co.za, top mobile data users during the lockdown are using up to 768GB in a month with the top data users being serious gamers whose activities included downloads, followed by Xbox, Netflix, PlayStation, and BitTorrent. Practically, this translates to higher mobile data charges to keep up with these surges in data usage.

In addition, the increase in people seeking home entertainment online has been so significant that it’s affecting internet speeds, as a surge in traffic puts immense pressure on network providers. Most of the bigger networks the public was accustomed to are quite obviously overwhelmed.

Similarly, the ‘next’ generation has been dealt a heavy blow with education facilities closed and most having little or no access to remote learning facilities. Most South African parents now realise the benefits of putting structures in place for home-schooling and e-learning.

“Realistically, the Covid 19 crisis will certainly not abate overnight. Going forward, we all have to equally focus on staying afloat financially, as that is a crucial part of staying safe, especially when the news floating all around is forecasting exam failure, retrenchments, layoffs, pay cuts, and business closures. Now is the time to not only set SMART Goals but FAST Goals as well”, Dave further said.

Using the NEXT bouquet of services and with the convenient NextCellular service, support is offered to SMEs/Enterprises/Corporates who provide internet/Data to their employees to work from home, with especially tailor-made data plans ideal for this challenging period.

Under this newly launched tailor-made data plans, for example, a 1GB data price ranges between R30 – R90 and the 1MB cost ranging from 3,09c to 10c with varying periods of validity from 1 to 365 days including pay-as-you-go and SIM-only contracts.

“Since making it simple is our core focus as a company, our data packages have been designed for peace of mind in uncertain times like these. We have made the expectation of working from home now more appealing than ever before,” Dave concludes.

Observed by the company are local values, backed with a distribution team of more than 100 years collective experience. This element elevates the NextCellular brand to second to none globally as a mobile network.
