Securex 2017 will bring together key players in the South African security and fire protection markets to showcase the latest technological developments in the industries, allieviating the often arduous task facing businesses and private individuals alike of finding simultaneously budget-friendly and reliable security solutions to protect sensitive data.

In addition to the main exhibition of high-end products and services, the event, which will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre, in Johannesburg, from May 30 to June 1, will feature popular visitor attractions. These include the Securex Seminar Theatre, the New Products Display, the Fire Protection Association of Southern Africa’s (FPASA) InFIReS Workshop, the Electronic Security Distributors Association’s (ESDA) breakfast and the South Africa Intruder Detection Services Association’s (SAIDSA) Techman Competition.

For the first time, dog trainer Genesis K9 Group will, moreover, be hosting a stand with live demonstrations of highly trained security and detection dogs.

Also new to Securex 2017 is the launch of a technical training component. Two morning and two afternoon sessions are scheduled, covering various topics such as surveillance for the entrepreneur, Internet Protocol (IP) surveillance and remote deployment, storage know-how, and IP convergence possibilities and solutions in industry.

Underlining the exhibition’s credibility is the endorsement by several recognised industry associations and institutions that include the ESDA, the FPASA, the SAIDSA, the Fire Fighting Equipment Traders’ Association, the Private Security Industry Regalutory Authority, the South African National Security Employer’s Association, the Security Assocation of South Africa and the Security Industry Authority.
