Fire suppression solutions provider Tyco Fire Protection Products (TFPP) has introduced a mobile application (app) that streamlines the process of selecting a portable fire extinguisher.
The easy-to-use Ansul Red Line app offers a customised experience for a range of markets, including aviation, marine, petrochemicals, oil and gas, metal processing, mining and transportation, notes TFPP products and agents director Tony Gryscavage.

He notes that users simply identify the market, application and hazard to suit the need. The app scours a comprehensive catalogue of extinguishers, including products that range from 5 lb to 350 lb in fire classes A to D. The app also recommends the appropriate extinguisher for maxi- mum protection.
“The Ansul Red Line app accounts for National Fire Protection Association codes and standards, so facility managers and safety directors can save time, eliminate guesswork and trust that the recommendations from the app are reliable.
“This one-of-a-kind app will revolutionise the way in which portable fire extinguishers are specified and help to ensure businesses save money and downtime by having the right agent in case of a fire,” says Gryscavage.
The Ansul Red Line app is free and easy to download for use on Apple and Android devices or through the Google Play Store.
Ansul’s full range of specialised fire-protection products includes fire extinguishers and hand line units; pre-engineered restaurant, vehicle and industrial systems; sophisticated fire detection/suppression systems; and a complete line of dry chemicals, foam and gas extinguishing agents.
