A series of new oil-lubricated, rotary screw compressors are said to offer best-in-class, energy-efficient performance in a compact design.

Part of the CompAir L-Series range, the new compressors are available in 30 kW, 37 kW and 45 kW models and are available in both fixed and regulated speeds. CompAir highlights that each unit is capable of delivering consistent, high-quality and cost-effective compressed air, providing pressure ranges from 5 bar to 13 bar and volume flow between 1.33 m3/min and 8.67 m3/min.

The ‘E’ models of the range, feature a larger airend with optimised rotor tip speed, designed to help operators achieve additional energy savings of up to 5%.

The compressors are powered by an IE4-IP55 motor and drive system with a new, improved filter design that helps to reduce running and maintenance costs, while also improving air flow to reduce pressure drop, with low idle power consumption for further savings.

The units are designed to have a small footprint, at 1.58m2, particularly suited for installations with limited space. The new design matches up connection points with previous models, to allow for easy replacement of existing models.

Models in the range are designed to deliver low noise and vibration levels, so that they can be positioned closer to production environments without requiring special foundations, helping to further reduce installation costs.

The models also feature the new Delcos XL SE controller, a touch-screen control system that offers insightful monitoring capabilities. The system is fully integrated with iConn, cloud-based air management platform, enabling operators to manage, optimise and improve compressed air services, while monitoring performance remotely.

“With a small footprint and low noise level, these new units are easy to install and service, and represent an excellent opportunity for operators seeking an upgrade to older machines with air demands of between 30 kW and 45 kW. Alongside these operational and performance improvements, iConn means owners can benefit from increased control and monitoring capabilities, leading to fewer risks, improved productivity and reduced energy consumption,” said CompAir product manager Guru Kabad.
