Event organisers Specialised Exhibitions’ inaugural Firexpo South Africa 2022 will highlight the services and products of local suppliers in the fire prevention and protection sector to visitors.

The event will be hosted from May 31 to June 2 at the Gallagher Convention Centre, in Midrand, Gauteng.

Specialised Exhibitions portfolio director Mark Anderson tells Engineering News that the immediate goal of the expo is to add a new, highly relevant dimension to its existing show portfolio to keep its offerings fresh and exciting for visitors and exhibitors.

Confirmed partners for Firexpo South Africa 2022 include industry bodies Fire Detection Industry Association, the Fire Protection Association of Southern Africa, and South African Qualification & Certification Committee’s Fire division.

Exhibitors will benefit from face-to-face exposure with visitors, who will experience the full spectrum of fire protection, security, health and safety as well as facilities management offerings– all under one roof.

“This is impossible to achieve in any way other than through an event of this scale,” says Anderson.

Firexpo South Africa 2022 will provide an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their products and services to a broad audience, as well as to network and generate leads, he adds.

Additionally, Specialised Exhibitions offers an inclusive marketing campaign – at no charge to exhibitors – which includes exposure across its dedicated social media and public relations campaigns, as well as many other visitor-facing communications channels, including regular visitor emailers and coverage on the Firexpo website.

Anderson says displays will range from high-pressure water mist firefighting suppliers and South Africa’s first and only self-activating, unattended mobile fire extinguishing ball to a range of vehicle fire suppression systems.

Details regarding firefighting courses and other emergency response training will be available to attendees for future training and upskilling.

Joint Venture

The Firexpo South Africa 2022 will be held alongside Securex, A-OSH Expo and Facilities Management Expo, to which visitors to the new expo will enjoy entry free of charge, Anderson enthuses.

“This provides additional access to excellent content in the Securex, A-OSH and Facilities Management Expo seminar theatres, as well as the A-OSH Working at Heights Theatre,” he highlights.

Many of the exhibitors will feature demonstrations, competitions, give-aways and show specials at their respective stands, information for which will be available to visitors on arrival at the Gallagher Convention Centre.

Anderson stresses that fire protection and prevention is a critical issue in any country and across every industry.

“By launching the first official Firexpo South Africa 2022, Specialised Exhibitions not only acknowledges this growing sector but also adds a new dimension that fits seamlessly with the existing events taking place,” he concludes.
