As South Africans continue to adjust to new ways of living and working, MultiChoice South Africa has once again expanded its content selection, value and reach. Africa’s most-loved storyteller is opening up a world of online learning, series and movies to its DStv customers from today.

“As the nationwide lockdown continues, MultiChoice continues to provide an uninterrupted video entertainment subscription service with the best available content,” says CEO of MultiChoice South Africa, Mark Rayner. “We’re always looking for new and creative ways to add value for our customers – most recently during the current COVID-19 period.”

Online Learning

Udemy is a leading online learning platform, aimed at professional adults and students.

MultiChoice is pleased to introduce a brand-new initiative designed to help our customers make the most of their time indoors. DStv customers will have access to 600 free courses offered by Udemy until the end of July. The free online courses available through the DStv app, provide customers with the opportunity to transform their business, learn a new language, or discover a new passion.

In addition, all active DStv Premium customers will receive a $5* voucher via e-mail to use on any of Udemy’s paid for courses valid for a month - this translates into an almost 40% discount on the cost of most courses. Simply download the DStv App, sign in with your DStv customer number and click on the Udemy offer.

Entertainment

Showmax: All new DStv Compact Plus and Compact customers will now “pay for a month and get a month free” at only R49 per month until 30 June. These new customers will now be able to access the very best local and international series and movies on Showmax when they add Showmax to their DStv account. All Premium customers will continue to be able to binge on Showmax at no extra cost.

From Friday 15 May we started giving active DStv Access customers the ability to view content from the 21 additional channels currently available on DStv Family. Catch great local reality on Moja Love (CH157), get in on the action on the WWE channel (CH128), and keep the kids entertained with NickTOONS (CH308) and Boomerang HD (CH302) plus many more to keep families safe at home. These additional channels are available until 14 June.

BoxOffice

PVR Premium customers will receive one BoxOffice movie credit every week for a month – that’s four movie credits to rent any four of the latest movies at no cost to you from 18 May until the end of June. This reward is available to all active Premium customers with a PVR device paying a monthly Access fee. Check out the movie line up on BoxOffice (The Gentlemen, Just Mercy, Onward, Dolittle and many more).

“DStv is committed to offering trusted companionship to our loyal customers. We will continue to bring you only the best local and international entertainment; keep you informed with up-to-the-minute news updates; and support our industry and government in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic,” Rayner concludes.

All the DStv added-value offers are available with immediate effect.
