Air compressor manufacturer Ingersoll Rand Company has launched the new RM220i Oil Flooded Rotary Screw Compressor which features a range of cost saving improvements, says air compressor supplier Dintsu Engineering Technologies MD Pierre Doman.

Dintsu Engineering Technologies is an authorised distributor of Ingersoll Rand Company.

The RM220i model delivers a 1 610 ft3 a minute free air delivery (FAD) at 220 kW input power, which is a 4% improved airflow compared with the well-known ML250 Zulu that delivers a 1 5 50 ft3 a minute free air delivery, but at a 12% less power.

The lesser power requirement will save not only monthly electricity costs but will also reduce the electrical installation cost, he explains. This saving improves the return on your investment considering the ever-increasing electricity costs.

Additionally, the compressor is fitted with an Intuitive KT controller, which provides comprehensive access to the client’s compressed air system. This can be achieved through the company’s easy-to-use compressor interface or with the remote monitoring device.

Doman also notes that the extended-life Ingersoll Rand ULTRA EL coolant – which the compressor is fitted with – lasts up to 16 000 hours to ensure increased uptime.

The RM220i model is part of Ingersoll Rand’s R-Series compressors, which offer the best of time-proven designs and technologies with advanced features to ensure the highest levels of reliability, efficiency and productivity.

The optional total air system provides clean, dry air in a cost-effective single package. With a variable-speed drive, the compressor automatically adjusts its compressed air output to achieve the highest efficiency for your operation, minimising energy use at any load.

Dintsu Engineering Technologies offers the full range of rotary screw air compressors (oil injected and oil free), air dryers (refrigeration and adsorption), vacuum pumps, filtration, air receivers, tools, auto drains, water separators, reciprocating compressors and more.

“We carry a large number of Ingersoll Rand spares and have a team of qualified technicians to service and repair your compressors and related equipment,” says Doman.

Dintsu Engineering Technologies specialises in turnkey projects for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a compressed air system including the reticulation pipelines according to international standards.
