Lubrication systems aim to help customers to get the most out of their critical assets by preventing bearing failures and reducing total ownership costs.

Weir Minerals has announced the global launch of its Accumin lubricators, which are said to reduce maintenance downtime and promote safety by decreasing the amount of manual interface required to maintain optimal equipment performance.

The company asserts that its grease lubrication product is of superior quality and has been ensuring optimal performance for equipment such as Warman slurry pumps in APAC since 2014. In use across more than 100 sites, the Accumin lubrication system has proven itself an efficient way of preventing expensive bearing assembly failures, states the company. The lubrication system aims to prevent over- and under-greasing, protect equipment from bearing failures and reduce maintenance time.

Made in Germany, Accumin canisters are produced in 125 cm3 gas-driven, 120 cm3, 250 cm3 and 500 cm3 electro-mechanically driven configurations and can be deployed up to 5 m away from the lubrication point, facilitating easier and more efficient access to the mount. The electro-mechanical driven lubricator is said to dispense a consistent dosage of lubricant, regardless of ambient temperature. The system delivers 6 bar of operating pressure and can be monitored by means of a liquid crystal display (LED), flashing LED alert system and a transparent grease cartridge.

The company explains that its single-point lubricators are designed to meet the arduous demands of the mining industry, such as lubricating Warman pumps and other grease-lubricated, mission-critical mining equipment supplied by Weir Minerals.
