LTM Energy has won the prestigious 2020 Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Innovative Project of the Year Award, which was presented virtually at a ceremony held in the United States, earlier this week.
This is the highest international accolade in the Energy industry as the AEE Awards has been dubbed the Oscars of the Energy space. This is the cherry on top after LTM Energy won the 2020 East Africa Solar Energy Leadership Award earlier this month.

The esteemed AEE’s Awards Program shines a light on the remarkable work that is being done in the energy sector by individuals and organizations. The event identifies those who exemplify the very best in their fields. Founded in 1977, the AEE is a non-profit professional society of over 18,000 members in more than 100 countries. The mission of the AEE is “to promote the scientific and educational interests of those engaged in the energy industry and to foster action for Sustainable Development.”

“I would like to thank the LTM family, staff and fellow directors that have contributed towards these great achievements and for their support of the various environmental projects we have undertaken nationally. We especially are humbled and grateful to our valued clients on affording us the opportunity to partner with them on their environmental sustainability journey. It is indeed most rewarding that LTM efforts to help secure a ‘greener’ future for our country have been recognised internationally” stated Dhevan Pillay who is the LTM’s Chief Executive Officer and Founding member.
The award winning innovative project was focused on building an office park driven by a broader view of what sustainability can mean in a development and additional ways to achieve the types of environmental goals. Sustainable design is not only about meeting environmental certification standards or minimizing one’s impact on global warming, but also a performance-driven option to show proof that going Green isn't cost prohibitive.
“Achieving success in some of the biggest awards schemes in the world is a great endorsement of the ambitious and ethical way we like to do business, and acknowledgment of the hard work, talent and commitment of our team. We remain fully committed to environmental sustainability, as we believe our initiatives are an important investment in the future of our communities and country.” Dhevan Pillay concluded.

LTM Energy will continue to make a positive impact on climate change demonstrating the importance of a holistic view in new developments while taking into consideration the importance of upskilling of the local community, growing ESCOs/SMMEs and delivering commendable resource savings.
