A recent example of solutions Layher provides to local challenges, was the use of the Allround scaffolding system at the 51 m high tower, C9101 at SAPREF.

Contractor Southey Contracting (KwaZulu-Natal) used the Layher Allround system for maintenance work done on the tower, including stripping, insulation and grid blasting.  The Allround system efficiently reduced risk with its lighter material, ensured safety
through ease of construction and saved time and money owing to the material’s versatility. The structure was fully boarded and had a comfortable staircase, much appreciated by SAPREF staff.

Layher engineers provided technical support and guidance throughout the assembly process. SAPREF sought a safe, economical and efficient solution to maintaining the tower, and the partnership between Layher’s high-quality Allround system and Southey Contracting’s resourceful work ethic, made this a possibility.
