Rolls-Royce unveiled its Phantom VIII, described as its largest and grandest car ever, in late July. The revamped 2018 version is only the second modern version of the flagship state car, which Rolls-Royce first introduced in 1925. BMW Group unveiled the first modern Phantom in 2003 and used it until 2011. The Phantom VIII, which will cost $440 000, was unveiled only days after the UK moved to ban combustion vehicles by 2040. In an interview with Bloomberg, the brand’s chief, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, said Rolls-Royce would start to go electric in the next decade.
