Invitation to submit offers for the acquisition of the business or assets of SA Ladder (PTY) LTD (IN BUSINESS RESCUE) (“SAL”)

SAL was founded in 1992 and has grown into a company with a national footprint in ladders, castors, access and materials handling equipment. SAL is situated and operates in Alberton, Gauteng.

SAL manufactures various products under the following brand names:

  • Gravity - Aluminium Ladders
  • Superlite - Fibreglass Ladders
  • Eezeeroll - Wheels and Castors
  • Eezeescaff - Aluminium and steel scaffolding
  • Eezeethane - Polyurethane Wheels
  • Eezeelift - Warehouse and Materials Handling Equipment
  • Eezeelastic - Rubber Wheels with the Blue Trim
  • MRU - Urethane and Rubber Products
  • Silver Services - Metal Platers and Galvanizers

SAL provides in-house end to end manufacturing service and all products manufactured by SAL conform to both local and international standards. All Customers are currently serviced from the Johannesburg Head Office/Warehouse, and SAL provides in-house local and national logistic services. SAL’s range of products are constantly being improved and expanded and has a well trained and experienced staff compliment who is able to fulfil customer needs.

SAL commenced business rescue proceedings on 28 February 2019. Refilwe Ndlovu is the appointed Business Rescue Practitioner (“BRP”) of SAL. The BRP hereby invites companies and individuals to submit offers for the acquisition of the assets/business of SAL. The process will be concluded pursuant to two phases, namely, the submission of binding offers and the selection of a preferred bidder.

The interested parties shall address written correspondence to the BRP advising them of their interest to acquire the assets/business of SAL by no later than 17h00 on 14 June 2019, to the contact listed below:

Once the expression of interest has been received, you will be sent a process letter from BRP, which will set out the requirements by which an interested party is to comply in order to participate in the Process. The initial requirements (which are more fully set-out in the process letter) are that interested parties must:

  • Sign a confidentiality agreement; and
  • Pay a fee of ZAR 10,000 (ten thousand South Africa Rand)

Following the receipt of the above, an information pack will be sent to all interested parties that have complied with the requirements contained in the process letter.
