Northern Ireland-based mineral washing equipment company Terex Washing Systems (TWS) says increased activity and enquiries from Africa have led to the company’s presence at the bauma Africa trade show.

The rising importance of Africa in the world’s construction and mining markets is taking centre stage at the inaugural bauma Africa to be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre, in Johannesburg, from September 18 to 21.

The trade show is an excellent platform and opportunity to interact with current and potential customers and deal with their specific washing needs, says TWS, which is finalising plans to unveil a new washing system, AggreSand. The system combines aggregate washing and screening with sand processing on a modular chassis.

AggreSand takes one day to set up and is fully automated and radio controlled. It can be used for numerous applications, such as processing virgin aggregate, manufactured sand, sand and gravel, crushed rock, crusher dust, scalpings, iron-ore as well as construction and demolition waste material.

The company will exhibit with one of its global dealers in this market, South Africa-based mining and quarrying equipment provider ELB Equipment, as well as be present at regional business development agency Invest Northern Ireland’s (NI’s) stand, H3.241.

TWS will be present at ELB’s stands D.36 and D.40, while TWS product line director Sean Loughran and marketing manager Elaine Donaghy will be present at trade show.

Heavy equipment manufacturer Terex Corporation, the holding company of TWS, is a diversified global manufacturer of a broad range of equipment that is focused on delivering solutions for many applications, including the con- struction, infrastructure, quarrying, mining, shipping, transportation, refining, energy, utility and manufacturing industries.

Terex reports in five business segments, namely aerial work platforms, construc- tion, cranes, materials handling and processing, and port solutions. Terex also offers financial products and services to assist in the acquisition of equipment through its financial assistance division Terex Financial Services.
