HOSTILE CLIMATE

There have been several signs this year, the most recent being the California wildfires, that the climate crisis is not a mere distant threat, but a clear and present danger. While many factors determine the extent and risk of wildfires, some of these, such as temperature and soil moisture, are directly linked to the climate. Once the Covid-19 pandemic abates, the climate crisis will have to move to the very top of international and domestic lists of priorities.
