Nearly 50% of the wind turbine components for the Perdekraal East Wind Farm and more than 45% of the wind turbine components for the Kangnas Wind Farm, have been delivered to site.

It is expected that all 480 turbine components for the Perdekraal East Wind Farm, in the Western Cape, will reach the wind farm’s construction site before the end of January 2020.

The components, which are being transported to site from the Port of Saldanha, weigh a collective 25 000 t.

Meanwhile, the Kangnas Wind Farm, in the Northern Cape, will comprise 610 turbine components, weighing more than 30 000 t.

It is expected that all turbine components, which are also being transported from the Port of Saldanha, will reach the wind farm’s construction site by April 2020.
