The University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (Gibs) deputy dean Professor Nicola Kleyn has been appointed VP of the South African Business School Association (Sabsa) for a two-year term.

Sabsa, which represented South African business schools that offered locally and internationally accredited MBA programmes, leveraged information, skills and expertise between business schools and assisted in developing the business education sector in line with international standards.

This knowledge-sharing aimed to improve the overall quality of business education, promoting excellence in business and management education in Africa.

Sabsa also supported business schools through capacity building, collaboration and quality improvement.

“Nicola’s in-depth experience and expertise in marketing, research and business management will definitely be of value-add to Sabsa. Making South African business schools more competitive in the continent, as well as globally, is an objective we all share. I congratulate her on the appointment,” Gibs outgoing dean Professor Nick Binedell said.
