New gas gensets launched
Global diesel, alternative fuels and generator set (genset) supplier Cummins launched its new “innovative power generation products” at the Middle East Energy (MEE) event earlier this year.
Now in its forty-fifth year, the global energy event, which took place from March 3 to 5, in Dubai, aims to remain the region’s leading power industry event at the forefront of a rapidly evolving sector.
MEE featured dedicated products by companies in the energy sector, ranging from power generation, transmission and distribution, to lighting, renewable energy and digitalisation applications.
There, Cummins Power Generation unveiled its C25G gas genset series and the QSB7 diesel genset, which were on display during the event.
Cummins off-grid applications marketing manager Muhammad Asif, part of the company’s global energy management segment, tells Engineering News that the launch of these two products was one of the company’s event highlights and that they were received well by attending delegates and potential customers.
“This is one of the biggest events in the energy sector globally, which provides an opportunity for us to connect with customers and showcase our new product and solutions. More importantly, we get to know what is happening in the market in terms of the latest trends and innovations,” says Asif.
He adds that the C25G gas genset series is engineered to deliver superior fuel efficiency, which has economic and operational benefits.
For example, he advances that this series has a power density of 500 kW from a 25 ℓ engine, while providing reduced maintenance costs per kilowatt-hour.
“The addition of the C25G to the Cummins gas portfolio results in our ability to support customers with a range of integrated gas solutions,” Asif explains.
The QSB7 is a fully integrated system, which provides optimum performance and reliability.
