Industry organisation Fruit South Africa (Fruit SA) has appointed Vangile Titi-Msumza chairperson, while Anton Kruger will take up the role of vice chairperson, effective April 1.

Titi-Msumza is succeeding Justin Chadwick.

The organisation says it is confident that these appointments will propel Fruit SA further towards its market access and transformation objectives, as well as maintain its focus on strengthening collaboration with government.

As the prior vice chairperson, Titi-Msumza says she looks forward to continuing her leadership role in this dynamic organisation at a time when the industry is in dire need of progressive, agile leadership to take the industry transformation agenda to new heights, and to increase its contribution to economic growth and job creation.

She has served on the Fruit SA board since October 2017.

Fruit SA is a nonprofit entity and umbrella body that represents Berries ZA, the Citrus Growers' Association of Southern Africa, the Fresh Produce Exporters’ Forum, Hortgro, the South African Subtropical Growers’ Association and the South African Table Grape Industry.
